Weekend Recap

Okay, first of all, after watching my video I feel like a complete goober. ;) Funny how you always think your voice sounds one way and then it sounds completely different when you listen back. Oh well. I hope you all got a good laugh!

This weekend was one of the bests we've had in a while. Friday night, Jeremy's mom watched Caroline while we went out to Gateway to hear Jimmy Evans speak at his Life Long Love Affair Seminar. It was soooo good! We left super refreshed and even renewed our vows.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from this weekend:

The number one role of a parent is to be the image bearer of Christ to your children.

Every marriage will need help at some point. Getting help is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom.

The only right source of God is love. God loves you (and your spouse) perfectly, powerfully and permanently.

The greatest marriage is two servants in love. If your marriage is going to make it, you have to wake up each morning and say, "I am going to serve you today."

Every time the devil condemns you, praise the Lord for the blood of Jesus.

Sunday was so restful, as it should be. Church was amazing, as always, and then we came home and took a three hour nap. Did you hear that? A THREE hour nap. Ya'll. It was glorious. Thank YOU Amber for keeping Caroline for the afternoon. It was much needed! I then headed up to the church for our normal Sunday evening activities. I went to Mom Heart and Jeremy stayed home to study for tests this week. We talked about looking for teachable moments with your kids and people around you. I am guilty of being too busy sometimes to stop and answer questions thoroughly.

I walked away from this weekend feeling quite refreshed. How about y'all? How was your weekend??

--ALSO- I cannot figure out how to add "Reply" to my comments. I have a few sitting there and I'd love to reply directly. Any info on that?? Thanks!!
